LORI KILKELLY LAUNCHES LK LITERARY AGENCY
Today, in a joint statement with Rodeen Literary Management, Lori Kilkelly announced the formation of her new literary agency, LK Literary Agency. Joining her in the new endeavor, and with the full support of Paul Rodeen, President of RLM, is her full client list.
“Lori has been an invaluable member of Rodeen Literary Management for nearly a decade. I have long admired Lori’s unwavering drive and her unquestionable dedication to her clients' careers. She mastered every task she encountered while working at our agency and she did it with a zeal and a passion that is hard to find in this business. I have no doubt, with Lori at the helm, LK Literary will be a great success. Every member of the Rodeen Literary Management team wishes Lori and her clients nothing but good fortune in her new endeavor.” —Paul Rodeen
Kilkelly began her career in publishing after a number of years in sales and marketing, by attending the Denver Publishing Institute in 2009. She subsequently connected with Denver Publishing alumnus Paul Rodeen and commenced her eight years with RLM as his intern, and then assistant, as he transitioned from working with George Nicholson at Sterling Lord Literistic, in New York, to opening his eponymous agency in Chicago. Lori began representing her own clients in 2013 and has since done more than (80) deals for her clients, and has worked extensively with each of the major trade publishers.
“Throughout my time at RLM, Paul has been a wonderful mentor and friend. I simply would not be at the point I am without his guidance, wisdom, and the unfettered access he afforded me to the inner-workings of a well-run literary agency.” —Lori Kilkelly
Lori’s clients at LKLA include New York Times bestselling author of the Goodnight Goodnight Construction Site series, Sherri Duskey Rinker; Ezra Jack Keats New Writer Honor winner, and author of The Miscalculations of Lightning Girl, Stacy McAnulty; author/illustrator Vesper Stamper, who has just today been longlisted for the National Book Award for her debut illustrated young adult novel, What the Night Sings, along with other talented authors and illustrators who publish across the range of children’s and young adult literature.
